Zoël Richard, 78, of Pré-d'en-Haut, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 1995 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born in Pré-d'en-Haut, he was the son of the late Frank and Léa (Melanson) Richard. He retired in 1981 from #5 Supply Depot Moncton, with 24 years service. He attended Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church in Pré-d'en-Haut.

He is survived by his wife, Evangéline (Gautreau) Richard; two daughters, Rose Nelson and her husband David, of Lower Sackville, N.S., Marie-Thérèse Richard and her husband Elie of Gautreau Village; four sons, Donald Richard and his wife Aline of Belliveau Village, Roger Richard and his wife Gloria of Belliveau Village, George Richard (Aline) of Belliveau Village, Michel Richard of Pré-d'en-Haut ; four sisters, Mrs. Dora Cormier and her husband Gérard of Moncton, Mrs. Emma Jackson and her husband Warren of Fredericton, Mrs. Marie-Anne Arsenault and her husband Isidore of Dieppe, Mrs. Hermine Belliveau and her husband Raymond of Memramcook; one step-sister, Mrs. Annie Cormier and her husband Fred of Moncton ; six grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Lucille Richard; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one step-sister, Mrs. Marguerite Belliveau, one brother, Dosité (Dos) Richard.

Resting at Dupuis Funeral Home Ltd., Memramcook with the Funeral mass to be held at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church in Pré-d'en-Haut on Wednesday, April 5, 1995 at 7 p.m. Interment in the Parish Cemetery in the spring.
